Easy Camping Food for a More Enjoyable Trip
When you are done listing all the necessary equipment for your camping trip, of course, you must not forget food and water. You might well be wondering what you will bring for chow time. When talking about easy camping food, there are a lot of factors to consider. Most easy camping food should be simple to prepare and economical, as well.
Don’t be afraid to include burgers or hotdogs in your food list. Ready-to-eat food can be a wise addition, too – saves time and relatively less expensive. Breakfast food that comes in bars can be also included in your list. It is easier to carry and pack than real morning meals like eggs or fried rice.
Freeze-dried food and canned goods can also be of a great benefit. These stocks are lighter; plus you can also wash the cans and recycle it for storing smaller items. Oh, of course, do not forget your can opener. Aluminum foils are very useful for camping trips. It allows you to create meals ahead of time and just drop it to the grill when you’re hungry and it is ready to eat.
Other easy camping food includes boxed foods like noodles; or mac and cheese. It is easy to store and cook. It also contains carbohydrates, giving you more energy for walking, hiking and other activities during the camping trip. Crackers and biscuits are also handy and be included in your easy camping food list. These may be kept for a long time and makes a great partner for tuna, cheese and some other meat.
Aside from all the above-mentioned food, you also need water and other beverages to quench your thirst. To prevent your load from getting heavier, choose the powdered form of the beverage (like iced tea or juice); and then, just add water later. Other examples of powdered drinks are coffee, cocoa and Gatorade powder.
At the end of the day, easy camping food would not be complete without marshmallows and chocolates. Make sure to keep a pack of marshmallows and other treats for snacks. Your excursion would surely be a fun activity.
